Something new is stirring among the trees at the Owl. Our doors are temporarily closed while this historic Lippitts Hill pub is thoughtfully transformed into a warm, characterful traditional inn. We are building on everything guests already love, from the open fires and forest setting to the generous garden, while creating softer, more inviting spaces and a food and drink offer worth travelling for. When we reopen, walkers, families, dogs and destination diners will all find a place to settle in. The forest has waited centuries for some stories. Happily, this new chapter will not keep you waiting quite so long.
